Yoga Fatwa : On Hold

The Star today reported that the banned of Yoga been put on hold by some states.

I could not understand why people (muslim especially) argue on this Fatwa. Aren't the people sits in the council are "learned" muslim scholars? My understanding, from how I was raised, is that the councils has a duty to inform his fellows muslim (especially the ignorant, me of course) what is "halal and haram" in this complex world we live in. I strongly believe before they announce this decree, they actually discuss at length and solat "istiharah" to reaffirm their stand. At least, they have remove their responsibility when ask by Allah s.w.t in the thereafter world.

Whether you still want to practise it, its your choice. My personal opinion : Physical Execercise ? Try somehthing they created in the 60's : Jogging. Breathing Exercise ? Read "The Quran"
